Get to Know Ryan – Jordan Imhof

Jordan Imhof Synopsis – Ryan Baty as a Leader:

How do you know Ryan?

Where do I begin? Ryan and I go back 10 years from today when I applied for a sales associate position at Mattress Hub. I worked there for 6 months or so before going on maternity leave. It was during that time that Ryan had hired my husband too.

Ryan, being the generous person he is, realized our situation and offered to create a new position in the company where I can stay employed but work from home.  I’ve been working at Mattress Hub ever since!

How would you describe Ryan’s personality?

Ryan knows how to influence people and the energy in the room. As soon as he walks into the room, it suddenly seems brighter! The more brighter the room is, the more productive our team is as it sparks more positive energy.

A bubbly personality he has, too! He has a positive outlook on life and welcomes viewpoints different from his own. I would say he doesn’t adapt to the energy around him, rather he influences the energy around him.

How would you describe Ryan as a leader?

A leader with integrity. He leads with the utmost integrity as he makes decisions based on the whole situation, and never just parts of it. What makes Ryan unique as a leader is that he is a very driven individual. No matter what the situation entails, he devotes the same amount of time, effort, and energy into problem solving.

He’s also a relational leader and what I mean by that is that he’s actively involved in what’s going on. It’s important as a leader to establish unique relationships and to foster them over time, and Ryan does that!

Ryan as County Commissioner

What makes a great leader? Is it a great communicator, or great decision making skills? You can find that and much more in Ryan. He simply wants to see people achieve great things, which is pretty unique in itself, but he’s the type of person to let you stand on his shoulders for you to get you where you need to be.

I simply go back to his personality because I have had the pleasure of getting to know him and his overall outlook on life, community and business. With that said, whatever job title he holds… I just know that we’re all pretty lucky to be represented by him in government.
